Renovated casualty ward opened

State Transport Minister K.N. Nehru inaugurated the renovated casualty department at the Annal Gandhi Memorial Government Headquarters Hospital here on Tuesday.

Mr. Nehru also inaugurated the new x-ray unit at the casualty department. The renovation work was carried out at a cost of Rs. 6 lakh, while Rs. 4 lakh was spent for establishing the new x-ray unit.

Collector Mahesan Kasirajan, Mayor Sujatha, MLAs Anbil Periyasamy, K.N. Sekaran and M. Rajasekaran, Corporation Commissioner T.T. Balsamy, Dean, K.A.P. Viswanatham Government Medical College, Tiruchi, Dr. A. Karthikeyan, Vice Principal Dr. M.A. Aleem, hospital's Medical Superintendent Dr. S. Paneerselvam and others were present on the occasion.
