Medicos urged to enhance skills

Medical graduates should do their post graduation and strive to enhance their skills to become more competent in their career, C. Vamsadhara, Director of Medical Education, Chennai said on Saturday.

The greatness of medical profession is such that the society looks upon a doctor as a god, Ms. Vamsadhara told the young medical graduates at the graduation day function of the K.A.P. Viswanatham Government Medical College here.

Urging medical graduates to practice with utmost sincerity, professionalism and ethics, Ms. Vamsadhara exhorted them to work hard to enhance their skills in order to become more proficient in their profession and serve the society. Later, she distributed degree certificates to the new graduates on the occasion.

The Vice Principal, K.A.P. Viswanatham Government Medical College, Tiruchi Dr. M.A. Aleem said the college had become a post graduate institution in 2007 adding that it was poised to become a super speciality institution.

S. Paneerselvam, medical superintendent, Annal Gandhi Memorial Government Hospital, Tiruchi spoke on the occasion. A total number of 64 medical graduates received their degrees at the function.
