WHO Declare Health Emergency For Novel Coronavirus Current Outbreak

Dear Editor,

As of today, about 9835 persons are infected in 23 countries and about 213 have died of Novel coronavirus in China, where it started at the end of 2019.

Every continent except Africa has reported the coronavirus infection, and the most cases are in Asia, particularly in China (9701 infected, 213 deaths). Yesterday India reported one case of coronavirus infection in the state of Kerala which is an imported one from China and not an indigenous case.

Today the World Health Organisation declared a health emergency for a disease that now is more global than was officially reported during the SARS epidemic.
