Received a prompt reply from Prime Minister office for my request on 29.12.2023 to name Tiruchirappalli International Airport after Sir C.V.Raman a Nobel Laureate from Trichy Thiruvanikoil. In this regard I am requested our Chief Minister to take nessarary steps to name Tiruchirappalli International Airport after Sir C.V.Raman - M.A.Aleem Former Advisory Committee Member Trichy international airport

I have received a prompt reply from Prime Minister office for my request on 29.12.2023 to name Tiruchirappalli International Airport after Sir C.V.Raman a Nobel Laureate from Trichy Thiruvanikoil. 

The reply received on 01.01.2024 says that 

"The proposals for

naming/renaming of airports

are considered based on the

recommendations of the

concerned State Government

accompanied by a resolution

passed in the Legislative

Assembly. The decision on

renaming of airports is taken by

the Union Cabinet after due

consultations with the Central

Ministries/ Departments

concerned."

In view of above, the applicant is

requested to approach the State

Government of Tamil Nadu."

So I am requesting our Chief Minister M.K.Stalin to take nessarary steps to name the Trichy international airport after Sir C.V.Raman a Nobel Laureate from Trichy.
