Three years after the great success of revolution for Independent India; yet another revolution started for developing an Illetrate free India.
The first educational revolution, to abolish the illiteracy in Tamilnadu. Especially in Trichy, was Ignited by a minority associated college to help and serve the majority of youngsters in an around Trichy.
Jamal “The Jewel” among the colleges of Tamilnadu; I coin the word “Jewel” because of its prestigious 60 years of service for the uplift of mankind through literacy, culture and faith.
It is proud enough to call Jamal Mohamed College as, the Jewel Diamond College, as it gets ready for its diamond Jubilee celebrations in this year.
The college was inaugurated in the year 1951, with a student members of 250 and staff members of 12.
As we all know the famous saying by James Russel Lowell in the poem 'Youssuf '
“ As one lamp light another No grows less, So
Nobleness endkindleth nobleness”
The knowledge lamp, filled with the fuel of wisdoms, Courage and faith was ignited to the whole society, without growing less at any cost.
In short, Jamal Mohamed College sparkled the light of vision and knowledge in the midst of the Illetrate and innocent society. It has ignited the lighted (black coal) minds of students and youngsters, paving a pathway for the bright future, particularly in Islamic society

“ Seeking knowledge is the duty on every person”
Allah (subhana watallah) says in the glorious Quran In chapter 8, verse No: 9.
“ Say, are those equal, those who know and those who do not know?
It is those who are endued with understanding that receive admonition”.
Further more Allah (subhana watallah) quotes in the glorious Quran about seeking knowledge continuously until death.
In the glorious Quran Chapter No : 20 verse No : 114 Allah says to mankind
“but say, Oh my lord ! Advance me in knowledge”.
As per the words of the glorious Quran and the hadith the students of Jamal are sincere and dedicated in seeking knowledge and sharing wisdom for the welfare of the Society.
Gentlemen's of “Jamal”
Gentlemen's of Jamal Mohamed College is the word, I really mean for the students, who have maintained discipline through out their life and after their carrier in Jamal.
If you recapitulate the history of Jamal Mohamed College no student till now have involved in any antisocial activity during the student period or after wards in any part of the world.
The students of Jamal can be called as X'ORTICANS, as the real meaning is EXCELLING IN ALL FIELDS. They shine as the twinkling stars in this competitive world, though in the field of education, sports, culture and events and etc.
When we go through our daily newspapers, we can see the name and Photos of
Jamal Mohamed College students as winning trophies and medals in sports and cultural activities.
The girls / women students wing
The girls students wing of Jamal Mohamed College, sets as an example of the Islamic women culture mixed with the Dravidian Culture.
The Hijab is followed till now by the women Muslim students of Jamal.

Janab Dr. M. Sheik Mohamed is a principal with principles. He is known for his multifacet personality. He tends to be as a friend, philosopher, guide and leader to his pupils and the teachers of Jamal Mohamed college.
As Allah (subhana watallah) says in the glorious Quran chapter No: 6 verse No: 152 About giving a fair judgment to the people (or) pupils as a leader.
“ Whenever you speak, speak justly, even if a near relative is concerned”.
As the great words and advice by Allah (SWT) in the glorious Quran Janab Sheik Mohamed works justly to his pupils and colleague.
He is the backbone strength of Jamal; for spreading her wings in all fields of Academic and Social works.
As a final word about Janab Sheik Mohamed,

Listing out all these qualities of Jamal Mohamed college is like taking a pinch of salt from the ocean . It is of no doubt that within a decade, Insha Allah Jamal Mohamed college would turn to be a Deemed University and would be listed among the world reputed universities.
And I pray Allah (subhana watallah) for the bright future of the students of
Jamal Mohamed College and the college should be upgraded as Jamal University by the year 2015.
