Mnnarrgudy Taluk Endowed for this Sanatorium by Mathusri Nagasubbammal of Mathurai in memory of her daughter Late Mrs Nagammal on 22nd February 1949. Nearly 75 years old Sanatorium only running OP with ruining inpatient and other infrastructures with out any further development after 1971 . It can be planned to developed as National institute of Medical excellence for infectious diseases with a medical college with full medical Curriculum in Tamil.
